This programme offers support to children who are already attending one of the local schools. Parents seek help for their children who are, perhaps, struggling in their English classwork e.g. Reading Comprehension or other areas related to reading.  Some children experience difficulties with Phonics, particularly those children for whom English is not their mother tongue. Other children may have come from outside of Qatar and find themselves unable to access the curriculum in their new schools due to a poor level of English.

Our teachers have the full range of skills to help students achieve a deeper level of understanding and a fluency in speaking.  The children read in every lesson and also complete some form of related writing activity.

There are many children who are attending Arabic-speaking schools whose parents are keen to have them acquire a proficiency in English. Many are complete Beginners. These children come to Linden Learning Centre for classes after school. The majority attend twice per week.
